The Evangelical S Guide To Spiritual Warfare

by Charles H. Kraft, The Evangelical S Guide To Spiritual Warfare Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Evangelical S Guide To Spiritual Warfare books, Are you aware of the spiritual battle being waged around you today? The truth is that although spiritual warfare is a major theme in the Bible, many of us gloss over it--or ignore it completely. But 80 percent of the synoptic gospels addresses the battle with evil spirits, and Jesus and His disciples set a clear example for believers. We cannot afford to practice a powerless Christianity in a fallen world. In this essential, accessible resource, former evangelical seminary professor and missionary Charles Kraft helps you find your footing in the spiritual battle. Based on a solid biblical foundation and on decades of ministry experience, this book will help you: · Differentiate between myths and truths about spiritual warfare · Recognize the everyday battles taking place around you · Learn what demons really are and what they actually do · Understand the rules for engaging the enemy · Achieve victory in daily battles with the help of the Holy Spirit Don't let fear keep you from engaging the spiritual forces at work around you. Some problems can't be overcome in any other way. "This book is a must-read for anyone looking to engage in spiritual warfare." --Larry Richards, author of The Full Armor of God "Dr. Kraft has removed the veil of mystery that has surrounded deliverance ministry for far too long. With truth and honesty, he has opened the door to the evangelical community and given us the tools to set the captives free."--Tim Howard, president and founder, Wellsprings of Freedom International "For more than thirty years now, Dr. Charles Kraft has been studying and writing about spiritual warfare. In this latest book, Dr. Kraft summarizes his findings and shares from his years of experience his approach to inner healing and deliverance ministries. This book needs to be read by every student studying spiritual formation, by every missiologist engaged in missionary activities and by every pastor and church worker committed to making healthy disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ."--Douglas Hayward, department chair, Graduate Intercultural Studies, Cook School of Intercultural Studies, Biola University "Personally awakened to the spiritual nature of our Christian faith, Charles Kraft calls us to wake up as well. This book is a must-read for any who seek to understand God's work in the world today from the vantage point of an evangelical who daily engages in spiritual warfare."--Scott Moreau, professor of intercultural studies, Wheaton College Graduate School "Most Christians are blind to the spiritual realities around us. This book pulls back the veil into the unseen world, where there is a battle. This book will quickly become a classic. Charles is steeped in wisdom in the area of spiritual warfare and has dedicated his life to bringing restoration to the church."--Judith MacNutt, M.A., president and co-founder, Christian Healing Ministries "Charles Kraft has taken a topic that is still controversial among some in the body of Christ--spiritual warfare--and boiled it down to something we can all agree on: There is an enemy countering expressions of God's love in the lives of believers and lost souls alike that we must combat."--Jennifer LeClaire, senior editor at Charisma magazine and director of Awakening House of Prayer in Fort Lauderdale "Again, Chuck Kraft has reminded us that 'we are at war with a cruel enemy.' This guide to the warfare reflects Dr. Kraft's passion for God's people to experience the full measure of the Father's love. His writing is grace-filled, balanced, thoughtful and practical."--John Shultz, Ph.D., president, Ashland Theogical Seminary

by Ralph Sarchie, Deliver Us From Evil A New York City Cop Investigates The Supernatural Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Deliver Us From Evil A New York City Cop Investigates The Supernatural books, Demonic possession. Exorcism. Haunted Houses. Satanic Rituals. For most people this is the stuff of nightmares, horror movies, folklore, and superstition. For New York City police Sergeant Ralph Sarchie, it's as real—and dangerous—as midnight patrol . . . A sixteen-year NYPD veteran, Ralph Sarchie works out of the 46th Precinct in New York's South Bronx. But it is his other job that he calls "the Work": investigating cases of demonic possession and assisting in the exorcisms of humanity's most ancient—and most dangerous—foes. Now he discloses for the first time his investigations into incredible true crimes and inhuman evil that were never explained, solved, or understood except by Sarchie and his partner. Schooled in the rituals of exorcism, and an eyewitness to the reality of demonic possession, Ralph Sarchie has documented a riveting chronicle of the inexplicable that gives a new shape to the shadows in the dark. In Deliver Us from Evil, he takes readers into the very hierarchy of a hell on earth to expose the grisly rituals of a Palo Mayombe priest; a young girl whose innocence is violated by an incubus; a home invaded by the malevolent spirit of a supposedly murdered nineteenth-century bride; the dark side of a couple who were literally, the neighbors from hell; and more. Ralph Sarchie's revelations are a powerful and disturbing documented link between the true-crime realities of life and the blood-chilling ice-grip of a supernatural terror.

Evil Arabs In American Popular Film

by Tim Jon Semmerling, Evil Arabs In American Popular Film Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Evil Arabs In American Popular Film books, The "evil" Arab has become a stock character in American popular films, playing the villain opposite American "good guys" who fight for "the American way." It's not surprising that this stereotype has entered American popular culture, given the real-world conflicts between the United States and Middle Eastern countries, particularly since the oil embargo of the 1970s and continuing through the Iranian hostage crisis, the first and second Gulf Wars, and the ongoing struggle against al-Qaeda. But when one compares the "evil" Arab of popular culture to real Arab people, the stereotype falls apart. In this thought-provoking book, Tim Jon Semmerling further dismantles the "evil" Arab stereotype by showing how American cultural fears, which stem from challenges to our national ideologies and myths, have driven us to create the "evil" Arab Other. Semmerling bases his argument on close readings of six films (The Exorcist, Rollover, Black Sunday, Three Kings, Rules of Engagement, and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut), as well as CNN's 9/11 documentary America Remembers. Looking at their narrative structures and visual tropes, he analyzes how the films portray Arabs as threatening to subvert American "truths" and mythic tales--and how the insecurity this engenders causes Americans to project evil character and intentions on Arab peoples, landscapes, and cultures. Semmerling also demonstrates how the "evil" Arab narrative has even crept into the documentary coverage of 9/11. Overall, Semmerling's probing analysis of America's Orientalist fears exposes how the "evil" Arab of American popular film is actually an illusion that reveals more about Americans than Arabs.

Download The Diary Of A Gunfighter books, In a country ravaged by the horrors of a brutal civil war, there were countless families torn apart by conflict and violence. This is the story of one ordinary man driven by loss to extraordinary acts and circumstances. Simon James Sublette lost his entire family during the Civil War. He dreams of coming home and settling into a quiet, peaceful life on his family farm—until those dreams are shattered by a stray bullet. Forever scarred, inside and out, he abandons all he knows and loves. He sets out on a lonely journey, wandering the West in a desperate quest for peace and order. But with each passing day, serenity still eludes him and his heart grows ever heavier. Torn by grief and fighting off hopelessness, he finds beauty in a more poetic way of life. This trait earns him the name “The Rhymer,” and he becomes a fearless gunfighter who has no equal when it comes to killing. The Rhymer is a hero for women and children everywhere—and a nightmare straight from hell for those evil men in need of killing.

Understanding The Mind Of Man

by SYLVESTER ONYEMALECHI, Understanding The Mind Of Man Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Understanding The Mind Of Man books, The life of a man is built around his thoughts. Your thoughts determine your experiences in life. You can’t live above your thoughts. Your thoughts determine your self-image, self-worth, and status in life. Inferiority complexes, superiority complexes, pride, arrogance, and timidity are all products of self-analysis. What you think of yourself determines how you carry yourself. Success in every area of life is determined by the use of the mind. The purpose of this guide is not to teach how to be led by the mind. Instead, it reveals much about the nature of the mind; the domineering and controlling power of the thoughts that go through our minds; the ways in which the thoughts we think affect the way we speak, feel, act and behave; and ways to renew and bring it under control. In this book, you will learn the power of the mind of man; the nature of the mind; the power of positive thinking; the power of god consciousness; the winning attitude; the role of the mind in managing problems; how to overcome lust and immoral behavior; how to maintain peace; and how to deal with evil thoughts.

The Day Satan Called

by Bill Scott, The Day Satan Called Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Day Satan Called books, The Day Satan Called is Bill Scott's account of an excruciating 18-month period in his life. Out of Christian love he and his wife invited a young lady who was demon possessed and the member of an active satanic network into their home. They prayed the sinner's prayer with her and believed that they could help redeem someone who had witnessed and experienced unimaginable rituals and abuses. What happened instead were death threats and the loss of their home as a sanctuary. Voices. Threats. Objects falling and moving. Strange visitors and callers. A loving church falling into turmoil. And yes the voice of Satan. Every day was filled with the dread of nightfall. Once you've invited someone filled with demons that aren't leaving her into your home what do you next? Where do you send her? How do you protect yourself and your family? What do you do after she's finally gone but the demons haven't left? This is the account of a terrifying and incredible phenomenon. But ultimately, it is a testament to the power of God's love, even over evil spirits.
