Geology Of The Athabasca Group In Alberta

by J. A. Wilson, Geology Of The Athabasca Group In Alberta Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Geology Of The Athabasca Group In Alberta books, Study undertaken in response to uranium exploration activity in Alberta following the discovery of several uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan. Research was performed on the Athabasca Group rocks between 1980 and 1982, establishing the stratigraphy and its relation to that of the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, and the sedimentology. Petrographic study of the stratigraphic succession indicated the sequence of diagenetic events and related them to fluid flow and mineral transport within the sandstones.

Contribution Of Industrial Municipal Agricultural And Groundwater Sources To Nutrient Export Athabasca Wapiti And Smoky Rivers 1980 1993

by Patricia A. Chambers, Contribution Of Industrial Municipal Agricultural And Groundwater Sources To Nutrient Export Athabasca Wapiti And Smoky Rivers 1980 1993 Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Contribution Of Industrial Municipal Agricultural And Groundwater Sources To Nutrient Export Athabasca Wapiti And Smoky Rivers 1980 1993 books, The aim of this report is to assess the sources of nitrogen and phosphorus to the Athabasca and Wapiti/Smoky rivers and evaluate the need to consider groundwater contributions when undertaking simulation modelling of chemical parameters of the Athabasca River during winter. To address the first objective, longitudinal trends in nitrogen and phosphorus were examined for each river system in relation to point source inputs and the contributions of anthropogenic point sources and agricultural activity in the rivers' nutrient loads were quantified. The importance of groundwater during winter was assessed by examining hydrologic mass balances and changes in dominant ion proportions. Results are presented of analyses of long-term values of nutrients from ten sites on the Athabasca and three sites on the Wapiti/Smoky rivers.

Download The Prehistory Of Lake Athabasca books, The position of Lake Athabasca relative to the Plains, Boreal Forest, and Arctic physiographic zones, which have changed through time in response to climatic fluctuations, has resulted in cultures adapted to these three zones occupying areas of the lake during certain periods. During the later prehistory, the western half of the lake was exploited by a Plains-derived, bison hunting culture whereas the eastern half of the lake was exploited by a Boreal Forest-derived, caribou hunting culture.

Contaminant Fate Modelling For The Athabasca River

by Golder Associates, Contaminant Fate Modelling For The Athabasca River Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Contaminant Fate Modelling For The Athabasca River books, Describes and presents simulation results using a revised model simulating the fate of contaminants in the Athabasca River. The revised fate model allows predictive sediment transport simulation within the WASP4 model framework, predicts resuspension from hydraulic information supplied by WASP4 and from user-supplied sediment characteristics, and can be applied to different flow conditions without having to re-describe sediment transport rates. Several simulations were run using input files from the original model calibration. Program listings of subroutines are included.
