Anti Semitism And Its Metaphysical Origins

by David Patterson, Anti Semitism And Its Metaphysical Origins Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Anti Semitism And Its Metaphysical Origins books, This book articulates a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of Jew hatred as a metaphysical aspect of the human soul. Proceeding from the Jewish thinking that the anti-Semites oppose, David Patterson argues that anti-Semitism arises from the most ancient of temptations, the temptation to be as God, and thus to flee from an absolute accountability to and for the other human being.

Anti Zionism And Antisemitism

by Alvin H. Rosenfeld, Anti Zionism And Antisemitism Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Anti Zionism And Antisemitism books, Seventeen essays by scholars examining the links between anti-Semitism and attitudes toward Israel in the current political climate. How and why have anti-Zionism and antisemitism become so radical and widespread? This timely and important volume argues convincingly that today’s inflamed rhetoric exceeds the boundaries of legitimate criticism of the policies and actions of the state of Israel and conflates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. The contributors give the dynamics of this process full theoretical, political, legal, and educational treatment and demonstrate how these forces operate in formal and informal political spheres as well as domestic and transnational spaces. They offer significant historical and global perspectives of the problem, including how Holocaust memory and meaning have been reconfigured and how a singular and distinct project of delegitimization of the Jewish state and its people has solidified. This intensive but extraordinarily rich contribution to the study of antisemitism stands out for its comprehensive overview of an issue that is both historical and strikingly timely.

The Making Of The Arab Israeli Conflict 1947 1951

by Ilan Pappé, The Making Of The Arab Israeli Conflict 1947 1951 Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Making Of The Arab Israeli Conflict 1947 1951 books, Arabs and Jews describe the first Arab-Israeli war of 1948 in completely different ways. Among Arabs, and especially Palestinians, the events of that year are known as the ""nakba"" - the catastrophe, the trauma, the disaster. For Jews, and in particular for Israelis, their victory in the war of 1948 is a veritable miracle in which, against tremendous odds and through heroic military effort, the Jewish community succeeded in thwarting attempts by the Arab states to destroy it. This book integrates new archival material with the findings of recent scholarship to present the reader with a comprehensive and general history of the origins and consequences of the 1948 war. The author shows, in sharp contrast to the recollections and myths of both sides, that the military events of 1948 were not decisive. The victory of the Zionist organization and the fate of the Palestinians was determined by politicians on both sides - in the discussions and decisions of the United Nations in 1947-8 and in the Arab League - long before a shot had been fired. The author argues that Israel's failure to take advantage of the genuine opportunity for peace with the Arabs at the UN-sponsored Lausanne Conference in 1949 resulted in the prolonged and tragic conflict between Israel and the Arab states still very much alive today.

Genocidal Liberalism

by Richard L. Cravatts, Genocidal Liberalism Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Genocidal Liberalism books, Genocidal Liberalism: The University's Jihad Against Israel & Jews explores the growing phenomenon of Israel-hatred and covert anti-Semitism on college campuses. Fomented by extreme Left-wing institutes, funded by Saudi dollars, and led by professors with a barely-hidden intolerance for even the continued existence of the Jewish state, the new anti-Semitism-parading as anti-Zionism-poses dangerous threats to Israel and those who recognize the viability of this Western-style democracy in the Middle East. Tracing the birth of this new strain of virulent anti-Israelism to the Left's obsession with "Palestinianism," this book also reveals how a destructive "unholy alliance" has been formed between those liberals who seek social justice for the Palestinians, and Islamists, who now find the Left as an ally against a common enemy: Israel. Genocidal Liberalism exposes the threat posed by the new anti-Semitism in detail, and then offers some concrete solutions to help bring American and Canadian campuses back to a balanced and level-headed discussion of Israel and to expose the dangerous agenda of campus radicals.

Das Unsichtbare Vorurteil

by Sina Arnold, Das Unsichtbare Vorurteil Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format.

Can Academics Change The World

by Moshe Shokeid, Can Academics Change The World Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Can Academics Change The World books, Moshe Shokeid narrates his experiences as a member of AD KAN (NO MORE), a protest movement of Israeli academics at Tel Aviv University, who fought against the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, founded during the first Palestinian Intifada (1987-1993). However, since the assassination of Prime Minister Rabin and the later obliteration of the Oslo accord, public manifestations of dissent on Israeli campuses have been remarkably mute. This chronicle of AD KAN is explored in view of the ongoing theoretical discourse on the role of the intellectual in society and is compared with other account of academic involvement in different countries during periods of acute political conflict.
